HELLRAISER

Propmasters are privileged to be able to offer this incredible life-size statue display of the iconic horror movie character 'Pinhead', from the Hellraiser saga of films created by Clive Barker.

The statue was one of a handful made by Image Animation, circa 1991, for studio display/promotion at their workshops in Pinewood studios, England. Image Animation, headed by Bob Keen, were the groundbreaking team behind the effects for Hellraiser, Nightbreed, etc.

In researching the piece, Propmasters reached out to former members of the skilled Image Animation team. it is understood Steve Norrington originally sculpted the piece and our special thanks go out to Julian Parry for the accompanying period photograph of himself with Pinhead at the studio..When first obtaining the Statue, sadly, the Puzzlebox clenching hand had been chopped off in it's cloudy past, in order to steal the original production used Puzzlebox it once held. An ex-film effects technician was employed by Propmasters to carefully substitute and repair back seamlessly the blood dipped finger nailed hand and a replica Puzzlebox put in to place. The stunning statue is constructed of fibreglass with a material skirt and wooden base. Metal nails/pins protrude from the head and the whole piece is beautifully painted to film specifications.

Only four examples are known to still exist, with this being the best presented/condition of those surviving four.An amazing instantly recognisable display piece with direct linked studio history to the team that gave life to the now legendary character, Pinhead.
