SPACE PRECINCT (1994)

Snake Costume

Propmasters are pleased to be able to offer the principal and most significant costume from the series; 'The Snake', portrayed by Ken Whitfield.

'The Snake' character is widely regarded to be the most memorable, popular and important character of the entire series. The stunning Costume comprises of a superbly crafted snakeskin detailed Jacket and Trousers with integral foot/boot covers. Together with the original foam latex chest appliance and arms with attached hands. Finally, to complete the impressive presentation, the prop Bomb utilised by the character in the episode. The Bomb lacks its LED electrical read out as it was removed after filming the episode to be reused in subsequent episodes.

The costume remains in fine condition and the chest piece and arms/hands remain in a stable, still very presentable condition although of a fragile nature.

A museum standard example of science fiction and Gerry Anderson Television history.

At the time of release 'Space Precinct' was the most expensive Television Series ever made. This can be seen reflected in the quality of the costumes, being superior tailored, using quality fabrics to include cashmere, tweed and silk.
