Propmasters are proud to be able to offer this highly important and significant Costume of the lead Robot 'S.V.7' from one of the most popular stories in Doctor Who history, 'The Robots Of Death' (broadcast 1977). The set comprises of a silver padded diamond shape patterned Jacket with cuff detailing, a pair of matching Trousers and a full head mask constructed of fibre glass. The costume pieces are identified inside, in hand, with the actor's name 'Miles Fothergill' and 'M.F.' initials. The Mask's paint colouring has deteriorated with age and exhibits surface 'crazing' but is not cracked. The 'hidden' actual eye slits beneath the eyes of the mask appear to have been filled/unfinished although the mouth is still 'open'. It is unconfirmed if the Mask accompanying the costume was used for S.V.7 in particular but it is the same mask provided with the costume since being released directly from the BBC Archive. The set was originally supplied directly by the BBC Archive to the BBC Doctor Who auction in May 1991, held at Bonhams's Auctioneers London, and has not been offered again since, until now.
