A prop toy soldier sentry box made for the classic family Christmas movie starring Dudley Moore.
Hand crafted of wood with added painted detailing. This style of toy prop can be clearly seen on screen in sequences near Santa Claus.
Such prop toys were made specially for the incredible Elf workshop and store sequences. The Production intentionally wanted all the toys to be of a traditional style and of handmade wooden construction. A Crew of highly skilled carpenters constructed a multitude of individually crafted wooden toys to fill the required sequences. None of the toys were 'off the shelf' and being handmade, none of them were totally identical.
A rare and charming prop from the much beloved Christmas movie.
