From the 1980 science fiction cult classic, starring Sam Jones in the lead role as Flash Gordon, comes this incredible two piece costume worn by one of Mongo's inhabitants.
The Costume was made for the suitably lavish and extravagant planet Mongo Emperor Ming reception scenes. Highly distinctive and indicative in colour and style of the whole film.
The two piece costume comprises of a large open sleeved jacket with corresponding matching trousers. Both the Jacket and trousers are beautifully intricately detailed, to include fibreglass shoulder armour to the shoulders of the jacket, embellished jewelled detailing, embroidered braiding, etc.
Exhibits slight wear due to production use and ageing but remains in very good overall condition.
A truly stunning example of the exemplary costume design of this cult classic science fiction movie.
